Chanw Foundation is providing home made one time meal (Lunch) to daily wage earners and homeless in Araria Town. A distribution centre is set up in the heart of the town where food packets are distributed everyday in the afternoon. 50 packets are distributed everyday. We plan to increase it to 100 in the near future
A Free public library containnig more then 2000 books in Urdu, Hindi and English has been set up in the centre of the town with easy accessibility for everyone. It was inaugurated by Manu Didi (Sister of noted Hindi author Phanishwar Nath Renu). Araria is also called ‘Renu Maati’. Phanishwar Nath Renu was born in Araria and his famous works ... Maila Anchal and Parti Parikatha is also based on social settings of Araria. We are planning to extend the library. Text books of Classes I to XII are to be kept in the library. We want to have books, guides and study materials for Medical, Engineering, Law, Accounting and other graduation level competitive exams. We also want to extend the facility to the aspirants of the General Competitive Exams (SSC, BPSC, UPSC etc). We need a bigger space for STUDY AREA as well. Currently library is running in rented space.
Araria had no Blood Bank in its government hospital. Chanw foundation decided to set up a donor club. Donors are connected via various social media platforms, and volunteer to donate blood as per the need. All the donations are free. Awareness campaigns and special programmes are organized to motivate people to donate blood. Our Blood Donor Club has been awarded by the BSACS We have been able to provide blood to more than 100 needy patients till now.
An online video news portal is also being run by Chanw Foundation. We are covering the issues of the Seemanchal Region in general and Araria in particular. We are covering events,...people, festivals, issues and history of Araria and Seemanchal. We have our own YouTube Chanel and pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Telegram. We work to promote social and communal harmony in the area. The Chanel also covers the issues of the downtrodden of the area. We are running on public donations. We are running on rented accommodation. We plan to have cameras, related software and additional microphones to make it more professional.
We coordinate with Sadbhavna Manch Araria and other local organizations which are working We distribute water bottles during Durga Puja & Ram Navami celebrations. We wholeheartedly participate in the Eid Milan, Holi Milan and Community Iftar programmes organized by Sadbhavna Manch Araria.
Extension of Chanw Public Library Making available the text books and study materials for classes 1-12. Making available the study materials for different undergraduate level entrance exams (Medical / Engineering / Law / Accounting etc.) ... Making study materials available for General Competitions Coaching & Guidance Centre: Free coaching for SSC, BPSE, Bank PO and other related competitions. Skill Development Centre: Free skill development training (plumber, steelworks, welding, electrical appliances repairing, lab technician etc.) for underprivileged youths to make them employable.
